Dr. Martin Seligman an American psychologist and self-help book writer specializes in studying how authentic happiness can drastically change the work place and mind set of employees and leaders alike.  Dr. Martin Seligman has identified five different elements that can lead to a fulfilling and happy life and workplace experience:

As indicated, the five areas are things that not only directly correspond to individuals but also to the work place.  Additionally, positive emotion is important for everyone in the corporate world especially when the leader has a positive attitude.  Having a better attitude and positive emotion can also increase your resilience which means that you will be more flexible in difficult situations and have the strength to get through those types of issues.

Building good relationships with employees is a vital part to running a business especially in the corporate world.  When you build bonds with your employees it lets them know that you appreciate them and care for their well-being and emotional state.  Just that type of bond alone can help your employees develop a positive attitude and resilience when they encounter difficult situations.
